About the Role

To support Norfolk & Norwich Festival Communications and Development team in their communications, audience development and fundraising across all activities and initiatives including the annual Festival and year-round schools and communities work.

The Communications Officer is a vital part of the Communications and Development team, playing a crucial role in developing and delivering year round communications and fundraising campaigns.

The post holder needs strong digital marketing skills (particularly in delivery of social media, e-mail campaigns and website), communication and administrative skills, as well as good understanding of marketing and development for the arts.

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody to input into the year-round planning and delivery of our work. You will get first hand experience of working on a multi-artform programme and with a variety of stakeholders.

This is full time, permanent position.

Deadline: 10am, Monday 7 September

Interviews: Wednesday 23 & Thursday 24 September

Expected start date: w/c 23 November

Job Requirements

It is essential that the Communications Officer has:

  • strong track record of delivering social media content in the workplace
  • ability to manage own workload and prioritise tasks
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • experience of marketing and development campaigns
  • experience of website Content Management Systems
  • experience of project management
  • an interest in arts and culture (for example but not limited to music, performance, visual art, and circus)
  • experience of creating graphic design assets, ideally using Adobe suite software

Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Work collaboratively with the Communications Officer (Content) and others to deliver rich and varied content that reflects the organisations work, tone of voice and successfully engages target audiences, funders and builds relationships with external stakeholders to enhance the organization’s visibility through online content.
  • Lead on the development of the organisation’s social media communications ensuring an active and engaging presence across all its channels. Working with others in the team to curate content appropriately.
  • Develop the organisations use of, and relationships with, social media influencers.
  • Create, commission, source and edit supplied copy for organisational website, e-mail campaigns or publications.
  • Support the Marketing & Box Officer Manager with website management and strategic development.
