About the Role

The Gallery Assistant plays a key role in delivering an exceptional visitor experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the gallery. Working across both the exhibition spaces and Front of House, the role combines gallery invigilation, visitor engagement, reception support, and operational assistance to maintain the highest standards of presentation, safety, and service.

As a visible presence throughout the gallery, the Gallery Assistant is responsible for monitoring exhibition spaces, safeguarding artworks, and creating a welcoming, professional environment for all visitors. The role also supports the Front of House team during busy periods, assists with visitor enquiries, and provides operational support across the gallery as required. Gallery Assistants help ensure exhibitions are experienced as intended, visitors receive a consistently high standard of service, and the gallery environment reflects White Cube’s commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Care for artworks, exhibitions, and public spaces through attentive gallery stewardship.
  • Support Front of House and gallery operations to ensure the smooth running of daily activities and events.
  • Uphold White Cube’s standards of professionalism, hospitality, and visitor experience.
